Rocky Mountain Women Writers isn’t just another writers group. If you are looking for a community that will support you all the way through to actually finish that project you’ve been hiding away, this is the place for you. You’ll find a plethora of inspiration, motivation and new writing friends of all ages and experiences. Writing is a journey and we enjoy every step together. With regular focused writing sessions along with writing retreats, creativity exploration and word game nights - time together is always well spent.
We are a gathering of women in Denver who represent a diverse range of genres and share a common passion for writing. With such a unique collection of writers we foster a very rewarding and expansive approach to exploring writing skills and techniques. We learn invaluable information from each other covering a variety of topics in a friendly environment. We have had to start charging a yearly membership fee of $10USD to cover room usage fees and other minor expenses but it’s worth every cent. The rewards of our time spent together shines through in our work.
We are proud of the diversity present amongst us, which include poets, children’s book writers, novelists, bloggers, journalists, non-fiction, women’s lit, romance writers and more. Our meetings involve writing exercises, prompts and critiquing, as well as time to work on individual projects.
Our mission is to inspire women to write from the heart and follow their dreams. We are all equals regardless of education, publications or literary achievements. We do, however, love to celebrate our accomplishments and are very proud of all of our members! Creativity, support and encouragement are at the heart of what we do.
